Duke Petting Farm and Carriage Company

With spring being such an iffy season in northwest Ohio finding a fun outdoor activity can be pretty tricky and pricey. After browsing the events page on Facebook I came a cross Duke Farms. Honestly a petting zoo would have been furthest thing from my mind but with the price of five bucks a person I couldn’t resist. We packed up the car and headed out to Samaria rd in Temperance, Michigan (really not that bad of a drive) for their spring fling event. Usually I only think of visiting little farms like this in the fall for pumpkin patches. I am so glad we decided to take a chance and check it out it was so much fun.

They have so many different things for the kiddos. They had friendly llamas, donkeys, an adorable pig, and lots of bunnies. The bunny enclosure was a big hit with James. James’ also loved playing at the playground.

As a mom ( I think I can vouch for dad too) one of my favorite highlights of the trip was James’ first pony ride experience. He was a little unsure at first but we could tell he was enjoying himself. Its worth the mention the pony rides and carriage rides were FREE!

Also roaming the farm are the gorgeous Clydesdale horses. The farm has welcomed a new member of the family, a baby Clydesdale, is also available to pet. The stables were kept so nice and clean I wasn’t worried about getting stuck in something….unwanted lol.

Overall our experience was great and we are for sure going back for the next event.
