Why We Love Erie Orchards and Cider Mill. Fall activities 2019.

AUTUMN IS HERE! Well almost. Up here in Northwest Ohio it’s been pretty hot and humid. However that hasn’t stopped James and I from catching all the #fallvibes. Locally there are dozens of Apple orchards and pumpkin patches to pick from. James and I have been on the hunt for our favorite one. Year after year there is one that has been pulling me back in!

Before James was born I would visit Erie Orchards solely for the apple picking. They have rows and rows of Apple trees to get lost in (along with peach trees and berry bushes). In my opinion Erie Orchards has always had the best apples. They also have a wildflower garden that you can cut flowers from. It wasn’t until after I had James that I really appreciated all the family fun they have to offer.

They have a free playground for kid’s of all ages to play on. James especially loves the life sized wodden cottage playhouse. Its so big even I can fit in. They also have 3 different play sets for the different age groups. In the play area there are john deer and schwin bikes and trikes to play with as well. Another thing James loves are the animals. It wouldn’t be a farm with out some goats and chickens. James can spend a good half hour feeding and watching the funny goats.

James and I love coming to visit the orchard on a week day to play, kill time, and of course have one of their famous dougnuts Erie Orchard is also a cider mill, so you know the Apple cider is fresh! They also have Apple cider slushies and other baked treats. I totally recommend their classic cinnamon sugar doughnut. James and I have to get one everytime.

Almost every weekend in the fall the orchard host kids weekends or some sort of event. On these days they have local venders out for the parents. They also have bounce houses, pony rides and hay rides for the kids. Whether its a week day or a special event we LOVE Erie Orchards. It is definitely our area favorite.

You can check out all the fun events online at Erie Orchards website.

They are open Monday through Saturday, 9am – 7:00pm and Sunday: 11am – 6:00pm

They are located at: 1235 Erie Road, Erie MI, 48133
