Review:

While the summery on Barnes and Noble mentioned the Blair Witch Project, I would compare Rules for Vanishing with the hit tv show supernatural. The book starts off with a cryptic text message and a ghost hunt. Right away I was hooked to the story and characters. One thing I really loved about the book was the different pieces of “evidence”. They’re range from txt messages, audio recordings and interviews. It’s a interesting way to break up chapters. I thought the different ways the author incorporated the myth of the road to move along the story really flowed. While I am not too fond of the ending, I still recommend the book.
